Sausage n' mash.
Tried out a sage n' thyme banger for a change and by Jingo! it hit the spot.
Bunged in a handful o' tarragon to the mash for extra zest.
Delish.

Salmon parcels - (salmon, asparagus, Dijon mustard, lemon, olive oil, white wine) with tender stem broccoli and new potatoes (jazzy) and mint straight from the plot of Mott with butter and cracked black pepper. Could have done with a different colour veg on the plate though.

Seafood night in the Mottie household. Scallops to start - marinated in a mixture of olive oil, parsley, lemon juice, garlic and black pepper for a few hours, then flash fried for no more than 60 seconds on each side. Served on some leaves with a drizzle of balsamic glaze.

Mains was live mussels. I fried off some onions, garlic and parsley, added a splash of white wine, brought to the boil then in with the mussels and lid on just until they opened. Took them out and covered with foil to keep them warm then reduced the liquid before adding half a pot of cream. Served them up with hot crusty bread and chilled white wine. Went down a treat.
