What have you had for dinner

Yesterday, I had a hospital appointment, there was no transport available, so it was down to using buses to get there - much too far to go on the mobility scooter. I'd bought a fold up wheel-chair, for those times it might be needed. Av went along, as she usually does, and agreed to pushing, between buses - I can manage walking short distances, but struggle with anything more. On the return trip, we'd decided to have a carvery - 25% off, thanks to Octopus. Av had always seemed to avoid onion gravy, so I was under the impression she didn't like onions, but they had onion gravy on the servery, and she piled it on, as did I. We both commented on how good it was.

Having started, making gravy at home, and getting it something like, today she had a go at making onion gravy - it's to go later with sausage, mash, and cauliflower.

Av tried making pancakes a while ago, I only managed one, it was thick, and doughy. We had some batter left over from making toad in the hole (that also turned out thick and doughy at the bottom), so on Monday evening, I decided to make my speciality - crepe pancakes, paper thin. She wouldn't even try one, I scoffed five, eating one, whilst the next one cooked. Tuesday evening still some left, so I made some more, and managed to persuade her to try half of one.

Onion gravy makes sausage n' mash sing...hold the cauliflower, though. Strange stuff.
