Maybe a silly question but i'm a total novis at 'rendering'
We moved into a house last year and it has a BT wire (now dead) going from the outside to the inside.
It seems like the hole has a 'sealant' in with the wire. However, I wish to remove this and fill it in. The hole is about the size of a 10p and the house is pebble dashed.
I popped into a well known DIY shop today to ask for advice and was recommended a £40 tub of rendering. The tub was VERY large (enough to do a good few square meters). I asked if they had anything smaller and he said "Not really" and said "half of the stuff is rubbish and this is the only good one you can get. Half of the stuff isn't for filling holes." and walked off.
While I'm not tight I feel this is over kill lol. Can anybody recommend what i'd need and maybe a smaller (Cheaper?) tub.
I have the stuff to fix the inside etc. It is just the outside.
thank you
