Mojo12345, good evening.

There is a possibility that the extended area may?? conceal a second waste pipe from? a bath? or shower Etc, something that has been in place before the roof was constructed, and possibly the "second" waste pipe level [ if one exists] could not be re-sited?

There will be a bend or junction under all that from the bog going into the side of the pipe.

Mojo12345, good evening, again.

OK please do not leave us in limbo?

if it is a pipe, please give us a clue?

Cheers.

Ok everyone what happened is I brought the house and there is a side single storey extension, it’s a 3 bed semi detached, also therefore the side extension has in front a garage and in back a bedroom, the whole side extension has a flat roof which was leaking because the side window was too
low making it difficult to seal the flat roof and wall also the slope of the flat roof was towards the house some pictures below to explain

So now what I’ve had done is removed the large window and bricked up and got a smaller window in now looking to get a whole new flat roof with the angle of the fall going to the back of the house not onwards toward the house hope this all make sense but not sure about my roof options and making it water right hope I’m explaining it ok it’s a bit complicated here’s some pics where I’m up to

So the only way to go about this properly is to rip off the old roof completely down to the joists and start again with a decent felt roof installed by an experienced felt roofer. Don’t have GRP or rubber. Don’t get 75 quotes and go for the cheapest. Good luck.

Ok thanks what type of felt is best to use a mineral felt? Also how would I get a good seal between the roof and the house use aris rails? Or beading?, also do you think it’s better to have the fall go towards the back of the house? And should I get the pipe work boxed in any advice would be great thank you
