They do or did adaptors. For one old customer of mine who sadly died at 99 last week, they actually machined replacement guts for the valves I put in about 30 years ago.
What is this on my radiator where the valve should be?

Thanks guys, @denso13 that chart is what I needed! But it seems that the heads on their own aren't readily available, and not much cheaper than new valves. There sa newer Danfoss one on amazon for £20, the whole valve, and as mine are probably 30 years old it might be worth replacing them all.
But can I get any brand and it will fit? I don't like those plastic white ones, and was looking for something grey and as the radiators will be painted grey

If you want some other brand, you will need to replace the whole valve.
