The correct way of wiring in a single fan oven.
I'm just putting my kitchen together and the lead off the back of the oven looks to be no more than standard 13A mains flex.

Do i take this to a switched FCU or do i just stick a plug in it? Only issue being i also need somewhere to stick the ignitor for the hob and only have 1 double socked under the work surface.

Cheers
Lee

seems a little sarcastic, but, have you read the instruction manual??

As for only a single socket, chop out, new back box, double socket.

Read that instruction manual first, is it a gas oven with fan?

Not sarcastic at all, yeah i have read the instruction manual, and it extends to "make electrical connection"

I'm just going to grab it and have a look through see if i can find out the power requirements, seen one to many nearly melted plugs connected to ovens.

It's an electric fan assisted thing.

A lot of single ovens come with 13amp plug top fitted,.

I am thinking that, the only issue being, the socket is going to be impossible to get at once the work surface is on, so thinking about a dual double pole switch feeding double face plated doobery.

Not making much sense am i???
