I'm about to dot'n'dab plasterboard to my walls, and fix beading prior to plastering. There seem to be a few sizes of beading around and I'm not really sure which type I should buy.

e.g. this large/coarse type:

versus this smaller type
http://www.screwfix.com/cats/101154/Building/Internal-Plaster-Beads

I'm leaning towards the latter as it specifies that it provides a 3mm outstand depth for the skim, whereas perhaps the first type is more suited to external rendering?

Cheers

It’s the 3mm thin coat bead you need for plasterboard; the large one is for render or base coats. Personally, I still prefer steel beading to plastic & that Screwfix price is expensive; I get mine from B&Q, £1.60 for 2.4 m length or £1.80 for 3m length.

I fix with a staple gun (if you have one) & a few dabs of grab adhesive along each side but you can use plaster.
