What kind of paint is on my front door?

I need to repaint the front door, but I'm unsure that kind of paint is on there currently. It looks very "thin", you can kind of see the grain in the wood through the paint. So I don't think it's gloss. See the attached photo, though it really doesn't show it quite like it is. It's a very matt kind of white. I've not seen anything like it before, so I'm at a bit of a loss.
Any ideas please?

Stand back and take wider pics of the whole door, inside and out, including the lock edge and the top edge.

How old do you think it is?

When posting small detail pics, like yours, include something to show scale, such as a coin, a hand, or even a ruler.

Why does it matter , clean and repaint .

They look to me like cracks showing through, perhaps over a thick old linseed oil paint that moves in sunlight

Or possible cracks as seen in ply exposed to the weather.

But we don't know the size of them, or the age or construction of the door

The door is pretty new, maybe a couple of years old, and in good condition. so it's not cracking.
It looks like the grain of the wood that you can see through the paint.
It's a fire door, and matches all the other flats, which is why I'd like to repaint it so it looks the same. The painting is needed to cover up some vandlism.

I would depending on how good the finish has to be rub that back with medium grade reinforced paper

Apply a binding , bonding primer like Crown PX4 or zinser coverstain........

oil based undercoat

2 x coats of oil based finish ........satinwood for example

Obviously if its a quick finish job use water based undercoat and water based gloss or satin etc but it wont last as long

There is signs of the paint system breaking down on that photo its either factory painted or whoever has painted it hasn't done a good job in priming , undercoating etc

I would abrade and use a bonding primer

Is it flat? Is it exposed to sun and weather?
