What oil to treat Wood kitchen worktop?

Hi. I am soon to be moving into a house with a wooden kitchen worktop that looks a bit worse for wear. I'm planning on taking it off sanding it down treating it with oil then refitting.
My question is what is the best product to use, what method, how many coats etc?
