this is my 1st time to renovate a room

i need to get the walls plastered and sand the wooden floors,
which should i do 1st?

bluti - walls first! Just imagine your lovely, newly sanded and varnished, floors covered in plaster dust, water stains, snots, etc. Better this on the 'old' floor which can then be refurbished after the plasterer has departed ... yes, I know that most trades boast about never leaving a mess, but ...

Sometimes, however, it's not possible to do things in the 'correct' order which would mean laying plastic sheeting (thick stuff) on the new floor. Best avoided!!!

Yep! Symptoms right. Plaster the walls, and then sand your floor.

Roughcaster.

Don't forget first fix electrics and plumbing before the plasterer arrives

Plaster the walls, let it dry out properly. Paint or wall-paper the walls, let that dry out properly and THEN sand the floor
