Hi all,

In the corner of our down stairs we have a box that covers the pipes and goes all the way up the wall.

Now the walls are painted in matt emulsion and would prefer to keep the box the same.

Is there any thing I can use as an undercoat which could let me use matt emulsion ontop so it blends in with the walls or is this a bad idea?

Would i be best just using a satinwood top coat like the rest of the wood work (doors, skirting)? Don't want it to stick out like a sore thumb.

Here is a picture so you can get a better idea.
