What plasterboard fixing do People use now.
For Ex:
Hanging kitchen wall cabinets on plasterboard that cladded over so around 24mm thick .

I used fischer duo but these ended up failing, so looking at the toggle or anchor type to re hang tomorrow.
All be it it was only 1 cabinet.

I will say I did mount a batton within the plasterboard before cladding but a change of wall unit size scuppered that grrrr.

I did that but a change of units after cladding the wall means my batton is now an inch too high.

The screw holes on the cabinet mounts are only 30mm sways from each other so grip its would.be too close .

Yeah you said behind the plasterboard, I’m on about hang batten on existing cladding or wall, and hang the unit on that. Top and bottom or vertical if need be. Don’t think many board fixings will hold a unit with much weight in it.

In the end I've gone for the the metal drywall anchors.

2 x 600 cupboards hung with them, and I can literally swing.off the cupboards .

So all good

Easifix hollow wall anchors from SF, they have a good range of sizes and seem to be as effective as the more expensive ficsher versions. Duo plugs o smaller jobs. The clam style grip fixings need to big a hole imo, and are too expesnive

Yeah there the ones I used , can't fault them at all.

Have just bought, but not yet used, some Fischer DuoTec 10s

And some Corefix for dot&dab.

Do you mean DuoPower or DuoTec?

Not sure I'd use either for kitchen cupboards though - no matter how well they resist pull-out, the shear load is bearing onto plasterboard.

If you mean you've got 24mm from the surface to an underlying brick/block wall, look at Corefix fixings

And consider using one of those rail systems so you can have multiple fixings to spread the load. If you know where your battens are you can screw into those - drill more holes in the rail if need be.

Worst case fix a batten to the wall under the cabinets to take the load. Doesn't need to be very thick - if you put a surface mount LED strip under the cabinets, in front of it, nobody will see it.

M12 studs chemically fixed into the wall behind the plasterboard?

haha
