advice appreciated:
I have had a small well drained area of a field dug out and lined with compacted hard core and want to fill it with sand or sand and bark or similar.
It is simply to turn out a pony to stretch it's legs to save turning a field into a quagmire.
It isn't for a riding area and whilst there are numerous 'equine' adverts for outdoor school surfaces, I just want an area that will drain where the pony can walk/roll stand where she won't be knee deep in mud.
I would welcome any advice on the type of sand or sand mixes that would be middle of the range price wise and would drain well.
thank you.
