On my bosch drill I have 1-5 and that's marked for screwing.

So I set to 4 and keep on power 1 setting. Is this OK? (Referring to the red slide button where you can slide to 1 or 2)

Putting some ikea furniture together, this has been ok 95% of the time.

Sometimes... I've had to change to 10-15 because the screw wasn't going in.

I screw down and wait for the grrrrrr sound.

Am I doing anything wrong?

Probably not - if you're not chewing up the furniture.

You cannot expect all screws into all material to be the same - which is why there are adjustments.

thanks for the replies guys

@ReganAndCarter awesome video. i didn't know the middle things was gear and the twist was torque. i thought the 'middle thing' = more power the higher the number. :)
if screwing furniture, should i be in gear 2 to have lower power?

@big-all - what do you mean you don't use clutch?
you mean you don't wait for grrrrr sound? if so, why not...?

thanks
