What size (KVA rating) 110v transformer do I need to power a Makita HM1800 breaker?
Thanks
Dave

depends on the wattage of the drill and for how long your going to be using it.

3.3KVA transformers are rated for 1500VA continuous so if the drill is bigger than 1500 watts consider the next size up (5KVA)

3.3kva the biggest sensibly sized ones, will be fine. Your not going to be using it continuously.

They happily power a 9" grinder and a drill at the same time. (grinder alone is about 2000w)

isetta - also consider the weight of a 5KVA jobby - mine weighs over 30KG ... a real struggle to lift/carry.
