hi,

This is my bathroom. The wall on the left will have 12.5mm plasterboard and the wall on the right will have a piece of 12mm screwed into vertical studs to support shower valve.

The issue is the join between the two walls. You can see the remaining plasterboard that I cut when demolishing. Do I need to put another vertical stud in to the corner of the wall to support the new plasterboard?

Previously, the board went to the next stud along which is 10-15cm beyond the corner (is visible in pic)

What's best?

Cheers.

fit a couple of vertical cls in the corners if you can or even a 3x1 sticking out enough to catch the new board. 80mm screws should go straight through the 4x2 and pb to hold it in place.
