What to do with an unwanted switch fuse spur

Hi,

I have a very old electric radiator in my conservatory that I no longer need (I’ve insulated the conservatory roof and temperature is good all year round).

I would like to have a cupboard in front of the wall where the electric radiator is currently situated - so need to remove the radiator.

question is what do I do with the existing switch fuse spur? Do I terminate it some how?

I read somewhere that you should remove wiring for unused lights - is the same true here?

Really I have no idea, so any help appreciated!

Could you perhaps change it into a 13amp socket?

Unless the cupboard will be in contact with the wall (unlikely if there is a skirting board and the cupboard base doesn't have a cut-away to accommodate it) can't you simply disconnect the rad and leave the spur as is (or with a blanking grommet in the cable exit)?

…so sounds like I could do what you suggest. I wasn’t sure if I needed to do anything with the wires in the spur itself?

sounds like just removing the rad is fine?
