Hi guys

Tomorrow i will be ripping my kitchen out , i need to cap of the water supply to the sink as there is no isolator valves for the hot and cold, what can i use to cap off the water at the valves for the washing machine?? the pipe is 15mm so i think its 1/2" nuts on there , will these do it with some ptf tape??

sorry if it sounds like a stupid question, i can do the job no probs just unsure of what i need for the job.

Kev

Take the valve off and use an Conex 323 end cap, same thread so you can reuse the same nut

i guess you take the nut of the valve and replace it with the nut from the stop end then screw the bolt stop into the nut?

sorry guys just want to get this right.

if you are ripping the kitchen out you would be better fitting valves onto the sink supply pipes before the tees for the washing machine which will be there for future repairs (so you don't need to turn off all the water) and while you are fitting the new kitchen you will still have water every where else,

thanks kirk, i should have explained that im getting all new plumbing including a new boiler on Monday, only needed the pipes capped till then.

i just went to pts and the guy gave me 2 1/2" black nuts, they did the job nicely :D

thanks for taking the time to reply guys

if you;re just capping off the washing machine valves then you will need 3/4" iron caps and some ptfe tape .
