Just fitted a french door set and there is a narrow gap under the threshold. I think it's to narrow for expanding foam, so is there a gun applied sealant or mastic that will fill the gap nicely and also set hard.

Can't be too narrow for ex-foam.
We use the cheap throw-away cans and nozzles whereby you can actually flatten the nozzle or feed tube so that it fits into very slim gaps.
For this aplication ex-foam is second to none.
