Whats a good price....

To fit a new bathroom? I have only just finished college but have been asked to do this job. The bath toilet ect have all been bought along with all the copper and fittings. All i have to do is go in and swap the old suit with a new one. What would be a good price to ask for this?

you mean they've bought SOME fittings, not necessarily the ones you want

Paul, seriously your looking to get experience, go in at 250 and do the job.
whilst your doing it you will see how different a "staight" swap can be, from there you will learn to give a price including parts.

Take no notice of some on here, every now and then they give sound advice but like to take the ****

when a customer says they have all the fittings,ill guarantee when you turn up you say, weres the trap or waste.and youll get a reply.dont know thats what come with it i thought they supplied all that.

Pricing up work is one of the hardest things when you first start out.
I mucked up on several jobs initially ended up working for about £60 a day.

Look at each item say the bath, first of all you will have to remove and poss get rid of so price that, then assemble legs drill holes for taps and attach,
Then stabilize the bath and fix to wall with L brackets, poss need some flexi connectors to ease the job and also silicone to seal/fix bath to the edge.
Not to mention the dreaded plastic panels which can be a pain to fix and may need trimming with holes for pipes etc.

So all of a sudden a simple bath install which you have done in a clean easy acess sterile bay at college becomes alot more involved.

If you detail all of the above in your quote the customer will understand why you are charging whatever to install just the bath.
