What's going on with this phone wiring?!

and punching the second and third wires into the IDC connector won’t damage the first one?

Krone IDC connections are only designed to take two wires of the same thickness, cramming in a third may work, but it might not.

I see. They’ve gotten away with it for now then as they currently have 2 and 5 from the master socket front plate with 3 wires (2 extensions and the alarm connection). Worst case though I could lose one of the extensions and rewire with 2 only, or unplug the alarm and reprogram not to report line failure.

Either way though, should I use the Krone tool one wire at a time, ie punch the first wire into pin 2, then the second on top of it, or should the two wires be lined up and inserted with a single punch?
