Hi all

I am building a lean-to garage extension and have an "L" shaped join where my new wall ends at a right angle to the existing house wall. I understand that I can use some kind of metal tie that can be screwed? into the wall and then metal of some description slots into the mortar between the bricks on the new wall.

What are these fancy little gadgets called. Have searched some diy merchants sites for brick ties and wall ties and get so many results i'm thoroughly confused.
