Hi

I need to put some plaster board on to a brick wall a fairly small area, is Bonding coat the same as dry wall adhesive?

drywall adhesive is used for fixing the boards to the walls.

bonding is used as a basecoat plaster to which a finishing coat is applied.

how bigs the area? if its only a couple of feet square and you've only got bonding i'd use that, i have before now but if you're doing full boards get adhessive

I am confused.com

I have checked the universal bonding compound that i have and it says

"for direct bonding plasterboard to walls or bonding GTEC Metal Furring Wall Channels to walls"

so it either does the same job as dry wall adhesive or not?

Tenn its about 6x4 so a good size to work with......

I think you have lafarge adhessive from the description mate which is the same as british gypsum board adhessive
