Hello

Bit of stupid question but just wondered what you call the room where you store your shoes. It is located directly after the front door of the house and you walk into it, its like a small storage room but you put your shoes, coats etc there. I just cant remeber its name

anyone got any ideas???

Why not be individual and call it the Ball Room. In my household, my workshop has always been called "the study", purely as an ironic term. In my old house we also had "the minstrels gallery" which consisted of a small platform (no bigger than 4ft x 3ft) that I built above the stairs to house most of our books.

how about "the special room wot posh people have to put their ladedah shoes in, whereas us poor folk leave em in the hallway to fall over on cor blimey guv"
