whcih way to lay out tiles horizontal or vertical

hi we are getting wall tiles with 600 x 300 tiles.
not sure wether to tile room with tiles with the (600) side horizontally or vertically, any recommendations ?

the bathroom is small roughly 2.5meters squared

600 wide....wow.....I hope your walls are very flat.
They seem very big tiles for such a small bathroom.
If any effect is observed, it will be the following.......

600 horizontal will make your bathroom seem wider, ceiling lower.
600 vertical will make your bathroom seem narrower, but ceiling will look higher.

You will still get the same effect as I said, but make sure your walls are as flat as possible, before tiling.

weve got italian rectangular ones in ours. i hung them with the long side horizonatlly in a brickwork pattern, personally i think it looks much better.
