I am after a rafter square marked in metric rather than imperial, or a book with metric tables.

I have an aluminium one at the moment with imperial booklet, but it is a right pain measuring in inches or in feet rise rather than degrees

Do you mean as in L shape, if so, I've got mine from www.tooled-up.com

It got imperial on one side and metric on the opposite side

Or do you mean triangle type square?

I was thinking of the triangular aluminium ones, but having thought of it, it is just the working out that matters.

Do those L-shaped ones have tables or something printed on them to enable the rafter lengths and cuts to be worked out?

Is there any advantage to using them instead of my current aluminium one?

I've never really looked at one close up, but it does not seem as versatile

Mine one doesn't but they are about.

I've been told the aluminium angle rafter is made in USA and that's why it's not in metric, you would've thought someone would do one by now
