I have a kitchen sink I need to replace. The 2 taps and water spout (I think that's what it's called) are all separate.
See pic below:
Ideally... I'd like to just replace the cartridge, but I can't open the dome.
In another thread posted on this forum, I got replies saying I could remove with some effort.
I simply can't do it. I can't get a grip:
I've tried pliers (with thin plastic gloves covering to try and stop damage to the part).
No joy.
I had another clever idea. I assume the shaft of the tap maybe could be unscrewed.
I managed to get it to wiggle about, but I can't get anymore movement out of it.
Now I have what looks like a black washer sticking out.
See pic below:
I'm guessing I need to hold onto the nut below?
The tap is stiff in different parts. Ideally, would like to keep.
But not sure how to get rid of the stiffness in different parts.
Replacing... I thought would be straight forward - but I can't find taps that come in 3 parts.
Any help would be great!!
Thanks.
