Where do I start?

I am considering extending the porch and garage on our new house similar to others on the estate. The houses in the picture show a before (left) and after (right) comparison as to what I want to achieve.

What should my considerations be?

Any idea of the anticipated labour cost for the brickwork and pitched canopy? I have assumed I cannot use same canopy.

If the canopy fits the outline of where the walls will go, then there is no reason why it can't remain

The labour costs could be anything from £1.5k - £3k

It's hardly worth the effort just to stand in the rain.
