Where is 22mm gas pipe run?

Having a combi fitted
To be moved almost directly above its current location in the kitchen to a little storage room.
Boiler supplied by a 15mm pipe that travels directly up towards that room.
Looking at the gas supply meter it has a 22mm pipe disappearing into the house. Therefore, is there any distance that this can be stepped down to 15mm, from which then I can guess roughly where it can be picked up. house built 1989

Not what you want to hear but there is no magic distance IF and that is a very big IF,That your installer did a correct pipe sizing calculation, and you knew how many fittings used etc we could advise you, but afraid it is a matter of following the pipe to see where it changes .
