Hi,
I'm new here and have only recently started generating piles of sawdust from useful timber.

:D

I'd appreciate some advice on where to find Tasmanian Oak. I need about 20 linear metres of strips to patch up a badly damaged hallway floor.

The only place I can seem to find it is Australia! Anyone know of somewhere more local.

Many thanks,
Rob

Tasmanian Oak is Eucalyptus - now more used for plywood than solid strips. Have you googled on its family name?

Dear WoodYouLike,

thanks for the suggestion. I had a quick google and found some technical information, but no suppliers.

I'm thinking that I'll not find it so will need to go with something similar, such as Idigbo.
