Just looking for a little advise on where the pros would position cameras round my property please.

I have a 4 channel system and have a attached a rough plan of my property, doors are the solid lines. I’d ideally like to have one that captures the front door and Garage (up/over and side door) but I’m not sure this is possible.

On the second pic I’ve added arrows as to where I’m thinking about putting them but worries about blind spots. For instance I’m not too sure how to cover the garage side door, I see this as probably the most vulnerable part of my property as it has a 8 foot conifer hedge facing it so the camera pointing to the back door wont see it.

Any advise would be great! Many thanks.

what do you want your cameras to see.

the higher up they are, the hard it is for them to be vandalised/ covered over. To get a good facial shot 8ft off ground level and the cameras point out rather than down.
its just like any camera, take a picture from up high you get tops of heads.

the angle of view from the camera and the resolution will determine what you can get in shot.

https://calculator.ipvm.com/ is a good site to give you an idea of what is coverable with many different camera options selectable.

ideally cameras should overlap marginally, not always possible.
