I'm fitting a set of French doors between the house and new conservatory. These are external spec doors so the conservatory isn't subject to building regs.

I can't quite picture whether the doors will look odd if I fit the cill? The conservatory floor will be wooden laminate, the floor on the other side will be carpeted. Do I even have a choice - when the building inspector checks the doors will they be 'external spec' if they don't have the cill?

Cheers!

don't fit a sill. i have added thickness to my floor screed so that i could lose the sill in the floor depth. it will be a nuisance.

having a sill will make no difference whatsoever to an internally fitted external spec' door.
