Which ADT alarm does this house have?

Just moved into a house that has an ADT alarm fitted. We did not get any information from the previous owners so called ADT to help use reset the alarm and get it up and working.

They refused to help. They said they would only send out an engineer if I took out a 3 year maintenance plan @ £28 per month.

I'm currently contemplating my next step.....obviously we want a working alarm in the house but don't know if it's best to remove and replace or just pay up.

Can you help me identify the system I have. There's no obvious stickers/model numbers but the alarm is as follows:

1. ADT alarm box outside
2. As you enter the house there's a Honeywell keypad on the wall. The model is TCU3UK - ADT. I've looked online and found the following pictures

3. In the toilet there's the following white box,

There's a lead connecting this to the phone line

4. There's a similar styled box upstairs, but without the LEDs

5. Finally there's window sensor and PIRs around the house.

Can you help me? Ideally I just want to use the alarm but don't want it monitored. Is there anyway to use this standalone?

The property has been vacant for months, now I've turned the power on the unit in no 3 has LED lights on the front, they're all flashing at the moment.

I've found another picture on the internet

I have the top two larger units but don't have any of the smaller bits.....

The ADT lady did say that we owned the alarm, so I guess that's something!
hope that helps!

Bin it ! Domonial , American based hybrid panel you won't get much support for this product and I doubt if you will find many installers willing to take it on, or go with ADT !

Agree with sparkymark.

If you switch the main panel, external sounder (probably an empty box on your wall) and internal keypad over with a Galaxy G2-12 series with an RF portal and something like the Texecom Odyssey 3E sounder, then the existing wireless detectors should be compatible. You should be able to do that for around £100 if you buy the new Galaxy kit from Ebay.

Best post pictures of the sensors just to double check.

I'm not sure what the black block is. The sensors look like IR8M, so will be compatible with the panel that Alan has linked to above. The small white speaker and fused spur can also be reused.

The panel also needs a keypad, 7AH 12V battery, external siren and a C079-2 RF portal for the wireless devices.

These aren't Buy Now, but give you an idea of what you're looking for.

Lol, so it is. I didn't click there. The zoom and colour fooled me.

Thanks everyone for your help.
:D I now know much more than I did a few days back.

I'm probably not going to take this on as a DIY job as changing the panel does worry me a bit...feels like a big job....I'm actually 51% 49% against doing it.

I may look to see if I can find a independent alarm "person" to assist based in West Yorkshire....so any out there give me a shout.

Cheers

Hi I've been quoted £700 to change over to a Galaxy (given over the phone with no site visit!), this is too steep for me and I was taken-aback by the quote! Not sure if I've just picked an "unlucky" alarm fitter.

One additional question I have, there's an alarm box in the airing cupboard...(well I'm assuming it is), any idea what this is, it doesn't have any stickers on it but I want to open it up (must be a man thing) - before I do this I'm worried it may have a tamper switch....

again thanks for assistance (in advance)

...the box in question is the large white box
