Which angle grinder for block paving?

I need to cut some kern adding blocks on my DIY block paved path project, and I'm seeing this as an opportunity to buy myself a new power tool. I know I could hire a Stihl saw, but which size/type of angle grinder would be best suited?

I see Screwfix categorise them into two sizes, 115-125mm & 175-230mm.

Heres one of the kerb blocks I need to cut to create a curve...

You will need the larger one with a diamond blade.

Don't forget PPE.

I picked up the 9" titan one for my diy driveway, bosch diamond disc from ebay, worked fine and seems to be very popular if you go by the number of reviews (not necessarily accurate I know!)

But you could buy 3-4 of these, depends how many cuts you have:

The trick is to let the blade do the cutting and not try and force the blade.

Also be careful as these blades can snatch and it will give you a nasty shock.

I'm using a Clipper (aero jet evo 230mm) at the mo' and liking it a lot.

Trouble is with diamond blades is if you buy cheap you buy 5 times.

Would there be much advantage with this model? Looks like its got auto cut off in the vent of blade jam, and a cushioned anti-vibrate handle.

I have to say with an angle grinder I would probably buy a cheap one, if you're not using it loads.

They're so simple there's not much to go wrong during anything other than industrial useage.

I've stripped a few over the last 2 years to adapt into other forms of machinery and the gearboxes seem identical whether you buy a £20 one from Costco or a Dewalt.

The blade however, I'd buy a decent quality diamond blade.
