Hi, Looking for some advice, i have a full bathroom to decorate the walls have been stripped back to the brick due to damp, i have been advised to use either Aquaboard which can be tiled straight onto or moisture resistant plasterboard, which would you recomend? further more would you recomend D & D, or timber fixing to secure the board? Any help would be appreciated , thanks Chris

The board type depends on what nature of extreme use the bathroom will be used for.
ie wet rooms or shower areas I would use aquapanel.
Bathing, toilet and basin washing areas, MR or even standard PBs.
If you are tiling all these board types can be tiled straight on to and if you use a creditable tile adhesive and grout, you should have no problems.
As far as the method of fixing the boards, D'n'D will offer more room space.
Battens could allow for added insulation and vapour check. Plus if planned right, offer securer fixing points for your bathroom appliances.
