Which boiler ?

These sort of threads should really be titled “which installer?”.

You’d be better of asking local friends, neighbours etc who they use and how good their service is. Get a good guy and he will have his boiler of choice (or a selection) and will not want an unhappy customer as his reputation is at stake - the best situation for us tradesmen to be in, is to have a plentiful supply of local customers (both existing and potential). This way, we don’t have to travel miles when called upon at ungodly hours... meaning quicker response times for the customer.

This is true. Also an installer who also services and maintains the boiler properly. Difficult to know if they are doing it properly. But in general I’d say most put more effort into properly maintaining the boilers they recommend and are most familiar with.
