which bottle trap ?

hi i am fitting a basin into my bathroom which will be sitting on a unit !!!!
i have still to buy the bottle trap but am not sure which length it should be ( the size from the wall to the centre of the sink), the size i would require is 240mm, but the ones i see advertised are only 400mm long and 190mm.

is there an adjustable one ? the ones i find that are adjustable, just allows you to adjust the height and not the length.
or will i be able to just cut the 400mm one to correct length ?

You can buy telescopic traps which adjust up or down to suit.

The length does not matter as you will just extend the 32 mm waste pipe to fit into the trap.

but the bottle trap is chrome, thats all i want seen, if i extend the waste pipe will it not be showing ????

Wht dont you buy chrome waste pipe to suit , have done that in the past but cant remember where i got it.

didnt know you could get one of those, looked chrome waste pipe up on net and cant find anything
