Which downlight for both CFL and Halogen?

Hi all,

Looking for a suitable downlight that can house both CFL (megaman) and halogen fittings for flexibility, both of which to fit flush with the downlight opening.

Can anyone recommend something to meet this requirement.

Virtually all open back fittings will be fine. The only time there tends to be a problem is with the fire can type.

Am i right in thinking these would be fine in a single dwelling without the need to be fire rated or installing hoods?

Normally you do not need fire rated fittings in a standard domestic property. It is only a requirement if you are penetrating a fire barrier.
