Can anybody recommend a good quality knotting solution. I did some repainting work last year and the stuff I used was obviously pretty poor. The knots have all started weeping again

Have you tried a multiseal? It's a white shellac knotting solution that will definitely work.

Sorry amendment to last post, the product I'd recommend is called 'multiseal'.
