Hi

Two part question, but involving the same issue :

Background info …..

Laying eUFH in kitchen and hall (No-More Ply/Ditra Heat/Tiles) raising the height by aprox 30mm from a suspended chipboard floor

Adjacent under stairs area becoming a utility however it has an access hatch in the floor so proposing laying sheet vinyl over with hatch cut in

Main living dining area (open plan to kitchen) is going to be laid with engineered wood of aprox 15mm plus soft underlay

Need to overlay floor in both areas between existing and finished floor level to match 30mm hall kitchen, but with different products/thicknesses

Q1) Would something like an acoustic overlay board of 28mm be suitable for the small utility? (Expensive maybe but a small area) or is there something cheaper/lighter?

Q2) What would you recommend fitting over the larger living room / dining area (aprox 33msq) to make up the 12-15mm height difference and provide insulation? (Preference for a light weight solution)

TIA
