Hi,

I am looking at painting a ceilling that has recently been re-plastered (9 weeks ago.....so well dried by now)

What would be the best emulsion to use? i was going to use Dulux trade super Matt but i just read that it is for plaster that was not fully dried? and does it matter if applied with a pad or brush (only ask this as i make less mess with these options  ) or does it have to be a roller?

Many thanks

Callard.

The Dulux is fine as long as you water the first coat down a bit, about 20%. I personall would use a roller, most dekkies wont use a paint pad. The plaster will be dry after that length of time. It wont dry any more after months.

I agree..but IMO a brush finish on a new bare plaster ceiling looks the business

I wouldnt recommend a paint pad though.
