Which pipes to lag

Quick question is there any benefit in lagging the return pipe for the central heating? I will be lagging the flow and hot tap water pipes and I'm just wondering if there is any benefit in lagging the return pipe other than for condensation prevention.

Will it help keep heat in the system for the next cycle or are the savings not very big and not worth the additional cost?

Thanks.

Indeed, your thinking is sound, depends on the length and placement of the pipe runs though whether it's cost effective or not. For the price of the lagging though, just do the whole system.
