Hello all.
My boiler and unvented tank is in the attic where it's really cold this time of year so I want to lag the pipes. I'm looking at using 25mm wall climaflex and it seems straightforward to do, but I wanted to know if there are any guidelines when doing this? I read a post saying don't lag within 1 metre of the boiler - is this right, and would that go for the cylinder as well?
I'm thinking the flow, return, hot and cold, and mains cold supply pipes all need to be lagged, is this right too? I don't need to do the gas supply do I?
Another thing is I have the pipes dropping from the attic into the corner of the landing where they're boxed in. I don't want to rip the box apart as it's coved and plastered but I may be able to get lagging onto the pipes from above and then push/feed it down the box. Never worked with the material before though, so would this be possible?
Thanks in advance for any help.
