Looking to prep the walls for the plasterer to skim everything but not sure which plaster to use as an undercoat above the window. Seems the area has a mixture of wood and breeze blocks and is about 6mm deep, so which plaster do I use and should I use PVA first?

Any help would be appreciated,

Rob

Are you sure it's 6mm deep and not 6cm deep. I can't tell from the photo. You'd dot and dab exposed brick/blocks.

Just noticed how bad the photo was so trying again.. . .

Is there not a single plasterer on this forum who can answer this question?

I reckon using jointing compound should be ok. Plenty of youtube videos on how to use the "mud". You would be using it like a filler.

I presume you are suggesting plasterboards in front. It will be extra material and extra labour. 6mm depth is insufficient for plasterboarding for just that area. So the whole wall has to be boarded.
