Hi- Extending kitchen into integral garage, with stud partition for utility space. 'How unoriginal' I hear you cry. I believe utility room needs pink plasterboard (quite fetching and fire resistant as a bonus) for ceiling and walls, but what about kitchen? Around cooker? Only in old garage? It appears kitchen's not such a perceived fire risk as utility room!
May need dot dab insulated plasterboard to boost wool-filled cavity walls too: Any regs. on the cheaper polystyrene backed stuff re: fire regs.? Is there such a thing as pink insulated? Hello? Anyone still conscious....?
