I am planning on converting part of the garage to a habitable room. The garage is integral with bedroom over and cavity wall on one side which was injected with insulation and 100mm block internal wall on the other side which has 12.5mm dot and dab plasterboard on the habitable side. would this this mean that all that would be required for building regs approval would be either dot and dab/or battened plaster board on these two walls?
I would rather use a stud partition wall than blockwork. what would be minimum requirements for stud wall, i.e 100mm timber, foil backed plasterboard,100mm insulation? any info would be much appreciated.
