Fitting a thermostatic shower valve with a 1.5 bar pump, I have 2 options regarding which way to route the pipes to the valve. First option would be to go from the pump which is in the bottom of the airing cupboard next to cylinder back up into the loft and drop down into bathroom which is approx 2m away or I can go from pump under landing floorboards and come up into bathroom again approx a 2m run, option 1 is the easier but would be pumping against gravity more than option 2 . The instructions that come with pump don't help much.

Option 2. If you do option 1 you could be prone to getting air locks/ interference with air in the system 8)

Option 1 would be ok as long as you fit automatic air vents on the hot and the cold,at the very top.
