Hi - I have some serious presure problems in a house I just got. Not helped by me fitting a bath with a waste filler (1 x 15mm feed)...

so... ergo - fit a shower pump - I spoke to Salamander who recommended a ESP 50 CPV (1.5 bar) (they would - one of the most £££) . A second conversation with my builder type friend who said he had a ESP 100 CPV (3.0 ish bar) left over from a job. So my question is what would be the impact of fitting an overkill pump? - indeed can I?

N.B. It will just be supplying a faily standard shower (3 pattern settings) and this stupid slow filling bath...

Any help much appreciated.

1. Even more noise :)

2. Plumbing may need more alteration to avoid the higher pressure pump from cavitating.

There are plenty of good technical guides from the leading pump manufactures.
