which skin first

am building a conservatory with 6 bricks above dpc. 3in cavity full fill with isowoll, inner skin blocks.
do i lay the outer skin first, then when dry put the insulation against it and jam it in with the inner skin blocks?

It's normal to build blocks first but for 6 courses it wouldn't matter a great deal if you did it the other way.

Before insulation was installed on the inner leaf the face work was nearly always put up first. After this the bricklayers got in to the habit of erecting the blockwork first. Given the choice I would put up the facework first.

We always build the brickwork first.

Mind you we use full fill dritherm cavity batts.

As said above, the reason site bricklayers have started building the inner leaf first, is because the methods of insulating the cavity favour having the inner skin built so that the rigid board insulation can be fitted tight against it.

Its better to set out the outer skin first so that everything works bricks, and you can match up the door reveals nicely when you come to do the blockwork. Even more so if the conservatory is hexagonal or octagonal

But for your purpose, it does not matter what you do first.

If you are building the brickwork first, then make sure you load the blocks out internally before the walls go up
