Which Tool to remove paint

Hello guys,

I have applied paint stripper to some door frames/architrave in preparation for painting.

Due to the design of the architrave, it is proving difficult to scrape off the stripped paint.

The tools I am using is the one shown in the photo as well as a scraper.

Does anyone know of any other tool which could make stripped paint removal easier?.

Thank you, Foxhole, that tool is the one I am using alongside the scraper.

With plenty of action it is working.

If you have a rusty old hand saw it is possible to make up your own shaped scrapers by cutting out a section of the blade and shaping the required profile with files in a vise - stick to simpler profiles, a complex shape is often better handled with several smaller scrapers rather than one big one. TBH it's a bit of a faff to do this for a single door/casing, but may be worthwhile for a bigger job. A burr turned on the edge of the scraper using a screwdriver shaft makes for a better cutting action

I am a decorator. I rarely use paint stripper. I prefer to treat the multiple layers of paint as a filler and sand them flat (adding two pack filler as required). I often glue sandpaper to thin strips of timber or wrap sandpaper around varying sizes of dowel.

Contoured sanding blocks are useful.
